Salary: $240,000 - $320,000 base + bonus + equity 


Overview

We are supporting a globally recognised software organisation expanding its legal capability to support complex technology transactions across North America. This role is designed for a senior commercial lawyer comfortable operating close to revenue, advising leadership on high-value agreements, platform partnerships, and enterprise licensing structures. You will sit alongside product, sales, and executive teams, ensuring commercial velocity without introducing unnecessary legal friction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiation of complex SaaS, licensing, and enterprise technology agreements
  • Advise senior leadership on contractual risk across strategic partnerships
  • Structure scalable contracting frameworks supporting rapid sales cycles
  • Partner with product teams on data usage, AI deployment, and platform governance
  • Oversee cross-border transactions with external counsel where required
  • Improve legal processes to reduce cycle time without weakening protection


Core Expertise

  • Enterprise SaaS agreements
  • Technology licensing
  • Data protection and privacy frameworks
  • Vendor and procurement structures
  • AI and emerging technology governance


Ideal Background

  • Eight or more years within a top-tier law firm or in-house technology environment
  • Demonstrated ownership of high-value commercial negotiations
  • Strong business judgement with the ability to operate close to revenue teams
  • Comfort advising executive stakeholders
  • US-qualified attorney in good standing
