Overview
We are supporting a global consultancy delivering enterprise-scale cloud transformation across automotive, industrial, and financial services clients. This position is designed for an experienced platform engineer who thrives in complex environments, building secure, scalable cloud data platforms that power business-critical decision making. You will operate at the centre of cloud innovation, partnering with cross-functional engineering teams to automate infrastructure, optimise data workloads, and enable measurable value through modern cloud-native architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, automate, and operate secure cloud data platforms using Infrastructure as Code
- Deploy and manage containerised services with Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement monitoring, logging, and automated remediation to ensure platform reliability
- Support enterprise clients running large-scale data platforms and pipelines
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps teams, and developers to deliver production-grade solutions
- Drive engineering best practices and mentor junior team members
Tech Stack
- Languages: Python, Java, TypeScript, Go, or C#
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Infrastructure & Containers: Terraform, CloudFormation/ARM, Docker, Kubernetes
- Data Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake (or equivalent)
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana
Ideal Background
- Proven experience in cloud platform engineering or infrastructure automation
- Strong expertise across at least one hyperscaler
- Hands-on experience building data platforms or cloud-native workloads
- Comfortable operating in agile, distributed engineering teams
- Clear communicator capable of translating technical concepts to stakeholders
- Fluent in German and English (minimum B2)
